This is a 17 day Portugal Spain and Morocco Ayres Adventure ,Highlights of the trip including charming historical Portuguese towns of Portimao and Monsaraz, Seville Fez Erford and Marrakesh.
We took a train trip from Cascais to Lisbon and did a sightseeing tour on a double Decker bus.
When we returned we had a briefing and met our other riders there was to be 14 on the trip but a couple pulled out on the day we left Cascais due to illness we have another couple, 7 single guys and 1 woman all from different parts of the USA. We have a BMW F650/800cc which has side bags and top box, Vic is very happy with it
Our first day took us to the most western part of Europe Cape of Roca, then we headed to the Ferry in Spain-After fighting 100klms head winds down the highway as our route had been changed due to the gale force winds on the coast and our allocated ferry was cancelled, we had to be at another ferry by 4pm so we rode like men possessed and got in the queue for 5 hours just waiting to embark, when we finally sailed we had to queue on the Ferry for 11/2 hours for entry to Morocco
After this ordeal we arrived at the hotel at midnight very very tired also not having any lunch or dinner, Vic was pleased with his sea sickness straps as it was very very rough.- (no food was served on board due to the weather)
We had a great sleep and our Adventure is on the way. As we ride through this beautiful county side the place is green and with wild flowers on the side of the road, very pretty, there are donkeys, people, sheep, goats and dogs and old buildings .There are marijuana sellers all around for any body who wants to partake.
The food is excellent and very cheap we even have alcohol We are now off on a walking tour to explore the Medina, the old part of Fez.
All are very good riders (who normally ride Harley s) and it is a very happy group.
